pull in / into(车)进站；(船)靠岸
The train from Chongqing has pulled into the station. 从重庆开来的火车已经进站了。
The boat pulled into the shore. 船靠岸了。
3 )动词see 在这里的意思是“ 明白；了解；懂”。
He didn’t see the joke of the story. 他不明白那笑话的可笑之处。
“Do you see what I mean？”“ I see. ”“ 你懂我的意思吗？”“ 我懂(我明白了)。”
6.If A appears to be moving at a steady speed relative to B, we cannot know for sure if it is A that is really moving. 如果A 以相对于B 稳定的速度行驶, 我们就无法确切知道A 是否真的在移动。
1 )连词if 引导的是宾语从句, 表示“ 是否”的意思。it is A that 是强调结构。
2 )appear to 似乎；显得；好像There a ppears to have been some mistakes. 看起来会有一些错误。
He a ppea rs to have many friends. 他好像有许多朋友。
3 )for sure 的确；确切地
He said he would come to help us, and that’s for sure.
他说过他要来帮助我们, 的确如此。
4 )辨异: sure, certain, adj.
二者都可以表示“确信的”意思。
sure 确定的, 确信的。指对某事没有怀疑, 是最一般的用语。
I am sure that you will succeed. 我确信你会成功。
certain 确实的, 的确的。指对于所信赖的事实表示确信无疑。
They have been certa in since they uncovered new evidence.
自从发现新的证据后, 他们就更确信无疑了。
注意这两个词在用法上的一点区别。
He’s sure / certain to come tomorrow.
他明天一定会来。(句子主语指人时, 二者均可用)
但不能这样说:
It is sure that he’ll come tomorrow.
可以这样说:
It is certa in that he’ll come tomorrow.
