山瞑听猿愁，沧江急夜流。
风呜两岸叶，月照一孤舟。
建德非吾土，维扬忆旧游。
还将两行泪，遥寄海西头。

It grieves me to hear from dusk mountains monkeys’ cry；
In the night， the blue river flows at a speed high.
Along the two banks， the wind through tree leaves roars by；
On my lonely boat， shines the moonlight from the sky.
Jiande， the county here， is not my native place；
How I long for my friend in Yangzhou of old days！
The two lines of tears that roll down my face will be
Sent afar by me to the place west of the sea.
