故关衰草遍，离别正堪悲。
路出寒云外，人归暮雪时。
少孤为客早，多难识君迟。
掩泣空相向，风尘何所期！

All o’er the ancient pass withered grass can be seen.
Grief at our parting here has caused us anguish keen.
You will break your road beyond the cold clouds o’erhead
While I will turn back when evening snows widely spread.
A young orphan， I wandered early in poor state
And in hard times came to know you rather late.
Holding our tears， we stare at each other in vain.
In these turbulent days， can we hope to meet again？
