将进酒
李白
君不见黄河之水天上来，
奔流到海不复回。
君不见高堂明镜悲白发，
朝如青丝暮成雪。
人生得意须尽欢，莫使金樽空对月。
天生我材必有用，千金散尽还复来。
烹羊宰牛且为乐，会须一饮三百杯。
岑夫子，丹邱生，将进酒，杯莫停。
与君歌一曲，请君为我倾耳听。
钟鼓馔玉不足贵，但愿长醉不愿醒。
古来圣贤皆寂寞，惟有饮者留其名。
陈王昔时宴平乐，斗酒十千恣欢谑。
主人何为言少钱，径须沽取对君酌。
五花马，千金裘，呼儿将出换美酒，
与尔同销万古愁。
Let Us Drink Wine
Li Bai
See you not： The water of Yellow River
Comes right down from the very sky；
Into the sea it flows ever，
And to flow back ne’er will it try？
See you not： Your high chamber’s mirror grieves you so
When your hair is suddenly seen
In the evening to turn to snow，
Though at dawn like black silk it’d been？
Men who will themselves satisfy
Should make the best of merriment；
Don’t let the golden pot idle lie
With the bright moon vainly present.
Heaven has made a stuff of me，
I’ll be useful this or that way.
Thousand pieces of gold back will be
After they are squandered away.
Let’s cook lambs and butcher cows also
And merry-making try to be.
Cups of wine three hundred or so，
We will drink and make them empty.
Master Cen and you， dear Danqiu
Keep on drinking and do not stay.
A song I will now sing to you；
You’re asked your attention to pay：
Jade-priced food amid bells and drums
Is to us nothing available；
Long-time drunkenness indeed becomes
To sobriety preferable.
All the sages and men of virtue
Have since the ancient time kept dumb，
While of the drunkards’ names a few
Have still to man’s memory come.
Formerly， when the King of Chen
Gave at Pingle a banquet grand，
Ten-thousand-coin worth of wine was given
To the guests there with a free hand.
The host has no reason to say
He hasn’t enough money to pay.
To drink with you and make all gay，
Wine just must be bought right away.
The five-flower horse and the fur coat
Worth one thousand pieces of gold，
Let the boy at once take them out
And， to buy good wine， have them sold，
So that we may drink down worries
That have tortured us for centuries.
