A Night Mooring at Mount Niuzhu Brings Me to Thoughts on Old Time
A Night Mooring at Mount Niuzhu Brings Me
to Thoughts on Old Time
Li Bai
To-night, at Mount Niuzhu in West River,
With a blue, fleckless sky my head over,
I take my boat and look at the autumn moon,
Vainly thinking of General Xie soon.
Surely, poems of my own I can chant too;
But, the man able to hear them is who!
To-morrow morning I will sail away
Amid maple leaves fallen every-way.
