第62章 判断句型(3)

It’s a pity that... 可怜的是……/遗憾的是……在“It is a pity that...”这个句型中,“it”是形式主语,“is”是谓语,“a pity”是表语,“that”是连接词,后面接从句。当原句是现在时或者将来时,这个句型要用“It is a pity that...”,当原句是过去时,这个强调句型要用“It was a pity that...”,翻译为“遗憾的是……”、“可怜的是……”。

“The point is...”是一个倒装句型, “is”是助动词,将“the point”提前至句首,主要是为了强调,其次是由于主语有较长的修饰语,把主语放到后面,可以使句子结构更加匀称合理。“is” 后面可以由“that”引导从句,翻译为“重点是……”。
