这三个词皆表示“装饰”。decorate 用于房屋、街道、人等方面,目的在于美化、庆祝等;furnish 指用实用的东西装饰房屋;ornament 指以其他附属品作为点缀,以使增添美丽或景色。例: decorate the mind with vir tue 用德行美化心灵。The new hotel has been finished,but it ’s not yet furnished.新旅馆已经盖好,但还没有装修好。The dres s was ornamented with lace.用花边装饰这个衣服。
