There is only one word in the clock―now.
How often one hears children wishing they were grownups and old people wishing they were young. Each age has its pleasures and its pains，and the happiest people are those who enjoy what each age gives him without wasting his time in useless regrets.
Penitence is something that enervates our spirit，causing a greater loss than loss itself and ****** a bigger mistake than mistake itself，so never regret.

在时间的大钟上只有两个字――现在。
多少次了，我们听到孩子盼望着快快长大，老人梦想着青春重现。每个年龄都有它自己的快乐和悲伤。最快乐的人，是那些懂得享受岁月的人，他们充分享受每个年龄带给他们的一切，从不把时间浪费在毫无意义的懊悔之上。
后悔是一种耗费精神的情绪，后悔是比损失更大的损失，比错误更大的错误，所以不要后悔。

曾经在贺卡上看到一条极好的建议：If I had to give up one sense，it would be my sense of penitence.（如果非要我去放弃一种感觉的话，我就放弃后悔的感觉。）下次再后悔时，就对自己说：事已至此，还能怎么办呢？（What can be done at this stage of the game？）然后，把注意力放在解决问题、继续前进而不是后悔上（focus on problem solving and moving forward despite the presence of penitence.）。
