加拿大皇家铸币厂

皇家加拿大铸币厂建于1908年,它是一座石器建筑,是加拿大主要的黄金提炼厂。现在,它已经不再生产常规的钱币,而是套版铸造特版硬币、纪念币、金属灌铸硬币等。游客可以参观铸币过程,看看金属板如何变成一袋袋硬币。

In early 17th century, the French explorer Samuel came here. After the British and French colonists poured in, the distribution center here has turned into a timber. They followed the Indians, and called that “Ottawa” and marked it on the map. In the Indian language, “Ottawa” means “trade”.

From 1756 to 1763, between the British and French colonists it broke out the Seven Years’ War. France was defeated. In 1763, they signed the Treaty of Paris, the French colony in Canada was ceded to the British. In 1800, the United States began in the North of Ottawa River logging.

From 1812 to 1814, Anglo-American war, the Rideau River became the water safe passages between Ottawa and Kingston. U.S. forces were defeated by the British. And the British established a position in Canada.

In 1826, British Royal Corps of Engineers John built a canal here and accelerated the development of the land, the headquarters location was known as Bay Town. It became a town in 1850 and a city in 1855, and renamed Ottawa by the Indian tribe from Lake Huron.

In 1867, the British Parliament passed the “British North America Act”, and established the Dominion of Canada, and Ottawa was officially designated as Canada’s capital.

In 1900, a devastating fire took place, it made Ottawa seriously damaged. In 1937, French architect Jacques Glebe assumed the task of reconstruction of Ottawa city. According to Jacques Glebe program, the railway through the city was moved to the outskirts, the new government ministries building were also built in the countryside. The planning and construction of the urban, commercial, office, cultural, science and technology education in all areas adopted the modern architecture style English, French and American. The industrial areas were located under the wind zone away from urban pollution, all city streets and open spaces to achieve full park-like, green technology.

1756~1763年间,英法殖民者之间爆发了“七年战争”。法国战败,1763年签订了《巴黎条约》,法国把在加拿大的殖民地割让给了英国。1800年,美国开始在渥太华河北岸伐木。

1812~1814年英美战争期间,丽都河成为渥太华和金斯顿之间的水上安全通道。美军战败,英国从此确立了在加拿大的地位。

1826年,英国皇家工程兵中校约翰·拜在这里修建运河,加速了该地的发展,当时的工程指挥部所在地被称为拜镇。1850年成为镇,1855年成为市,并以从休伦湖迁来的印第安部落的名称重新命名为渥太华。

1867年英国议会通过《不列颠北美法案》,成立加拿大自治领,才正式定为加拿大的首都。

1900年一场毁灭性的大火,使渥太华受到严重的破坏。1937年,法裔建筑师雅克·格勒贝承担了改建渥太华市区的重任。根据雅克·格勒贝的方案,穿越市区的铁路被移到了郊外,新的政府各部大楼也建在郊外。城市居民区、商业区、办公区、文化区、科技教育区的规划和建设全部采用现代英式、法式和美式建筑风格。工业区置于下风地带以使市区免受污染,城内的所有街道和空地全部实现公园化、绿地化。

Sao Paulo is Brazil’s largest industrial city, whose name comes from the Catholic Saint St. Paul. In the late 19th century, it developed rapidly because of coffee growing and the foreign immigration.

圣保罗是巴西最大的工业城市,名字来源于天主教圣徒圣保罗,19世纪末,因种植咖啡和外国移民而迅速发展起来。

Sao Paulo is known as “New York in South America”, the capital of the Sao Paulo, Brazilian. It is not only Brazil’s largest city and largest port but also the largest city in South America and the world’s fourth largest city.

The history of St.Paul was track back on January 25, 1554, Jesuit priest Manu El built a small church in the center of today’s St. Paul, which is the oldest building in St. Paul. As the day was commemorates that Saint Paul converted to Christianity, so called “St. Paul”. Around the Church gradually developed into the towns, but it was still a humble small town. Until the late 19th century, with sugar cane and coffee plantations in the region and the prosperity of the transaction, a large of expatriates came here, which made St. Paul develop quickly into a modern urban.

Sao Paulo City is the center of industrial, financial, commercial, culture and transportation in Brazil and South America, known as “coffee kingdom”. The neighborhood of Sao Paulo is Brazil’s important coffee producing area. The streets are full of various coffee shops everywhere, all day customers are here.
